Foyer Talk Before Church: You'll be warmly welcomed at First Unitarian of Omaha, with friendly chats in the foyer and a member ready to answer any questions.

Service Begins With a Chime: We open our service with the sound of a singing bell and music to set a peaceful tone.

Lighting of Chalice: We have a responsive reading as a call to gather, accompanying the lighting of the chalice.

WelcomeA welcome will be extended to visitors by a member, and weekly announcements will be shared.

ReadingsReadings can be anything from famous poems to quotes from authors about the day's topic.

Kids StoryClasses for children start after the "story for all ages," following the chalice lighting and some readings.

Singing of HymnsWe have two hymnals, one traditional and the other contemporary. We use both!

Special MusicOur choir and professional musicians from the church or wider community can perform special music.

OfferingAn offering basket is passed around during music to support the church operating fund and the community organizations we support.
